This is my sixth year at Signal Hill Elementary and my fourth year teaching third grade.  I'm originally from northern Pennsylvania where I attended Mansfield University for both undergraduate and graduate school.  I am duel certified in Elementary Education and Special Education.  Before teaching third grade, I taught Learning Disabilities at Signal Hill, and Emotional Support in Pennsylvania.  I'm embarking on my 21st year of teaching...which is really hard for me to believe!  

I live in Fredericksburg, VA.   I have three dogs; Junior the basset hound (pictured), and two shelties; Tahli and Harper.  I also have two cats; Pooh and Stellaluna.  I enjoy gardening, cooking, reading, and of course taking care of animals.  

I truly believe that teaching is one of the most rewarding careers that life has to offer.  I'm looking forward to a great year with a wonderful group of students!
